01
Are these guides legal advice?
No. Every guide is educational. They explain how the law and the paperwork generally work so you can make informed decisions and ask better questions. For advice about your specific situation, talk to a licensed attorney or tax professional in your state.
02
Do the guides work in my state?
The principles, documents, and processes covered are the ones used across the United States, and each guide flags the places where state law changes the answer — deposit limits, notice periods, probate thresholds, homestead rules. Always confirm your state's specific numbers and deadlines before you file or send anything.
03
Can I use the forms and templates inside?
They are educational templates meant to show you what a real document contains and why each clause is there. Many people adapt them; some states require specific language or notarization. When money, property, or a court filing is involved, have a professional review the final version.
04
What format are the guides, and how do I get mine?
Each guide is a PDF you can read on a phone, tablet, or computer, or print. After payment, a private download link appears immediately on the confirmation page and is also emailed to you. The link is valid for 24 hours; the file is yours to keep once downloaded.
05
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no account, no password, no subscription. You pay once and download the file.
06
Is this a subscription?
No. Every guide, and the complete library bundle, is a one-time purchase. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
07
What does the Complete Library bundle include?
All five guides — estate planning, LLC formation, divorce and your finances, credit repair, and being a landlord — delivered as five separate PDFs in one checkout, each with its own download button on the confirmation page and in your receipt.
08
My download link expired. What now?
Email support@crosslegalpress.com from the address you used at checkout and we will send a fresh link. Your purchase does not expire — only the link does, so the file stays private.
09
How do I pay, and is my card safe?
Checkout is handled by Stripe on this page. Card details go straight to Stripe; Cross Legal Press never sees or stores them.
10
Can I get a refund?
These are instantly delivered digital files, so refunds are handled case by case. If a guide is not what you expected, email support@crosslegalpress.com within 14 days and tell us what happened — we would rather fix it than keep your money.
11
Who wrote these?
Nathan Cross, author of the Plain English Legal & Financial Library. Each guide takes a document that normally costs hundreds of dollars to have explained and says what it actually means, in ordinary sentences.
12
How long is each guide?
Roughly 50 pages: a short opening, twelve chapters, a closing chapter, and a set of worksheets, checklists, and templates you can fill in. The full table of contents for every guide is on the library page.
